One thing for sure is that Ted Haggard will not be returning to lead the 30 million strong National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) nor even the church that he founded, the 14,000-member New Life Church. He has, however decided to seek counseling from his peers in the ministry.
Haggard announced that he will be under the supervision of a trio of prominent church leaders:
This counseling program could take years to complete according to HB London, a VP in Dobson's ministry. Both leadership positions vacated by Haggard have been temporarily filled.
The Rev. Ross Parsley will lead the New Life Church until a permanent replacement is named by the end of the year.
The Rev. Leith Anderson of the Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minn, has been named interim president of the NAE.
Ted Haggard can also be seen in the movie Jesus Camp, where he rails against homosexuality, advises an aspiring young preacher, mesmerizes his followers and leads an audience in praying for President Bush to select a Supreme Court nominee (Samuel Alito) who will support their beliefs. Here is a brief clip from that movie.

"Those men will perform a thorough analysis of my mental, spiritual, emotional and physical life. They will guide me through a program with the goal of healing and restoration for my life, my marriage and my family," Haggard wrote.

Bush goes ballistic about other countries being evil and dangerous, because they have weapons of mass destruction. But, he insists on building up even a more deadly supply of nuclear arms right here in the US. What do you think? Is killing thousands of innocent civilians okay when you are doing a little government makeover?
If ever there was ever a time in our nation's history that called for a change, this is it!
The more people that the government puts in jails, the safer we are told to think we are. The real terrorists are wherever they are, but they aren't living in a country with bars on the windows. We are.
